Despite below-average reviews, the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed went on to become the best-selling Star Wars game ever . Executive Producer and writer of the series, Haden Blackman, has always been a figure-head for the series, appearing in non-stop interviews and in magazines talking about his passion for the Star Wars franchise and his love Starkiller and The Force Unleashed series. As of today though, Haden’s passion is going to be looking elsewhere, as he has resigned from LucasArts after being with the company for over a decade. The series has lost a ‘Master Jedi’ and it wasn’t those pesky Sith’s fault this time. Confirming the news to IGN this morning, Haden Blackman has decided to resigned after working for LucasArts for 13 years, after working on SW: TFU & II, Galaxies, and Commander. When asked why he did, Haden said it that it just time to move on. “I’ve had a fantastic time working with the team at Lucasfilm and am really grateful for their ongoing support. While the decision to leave LucasArts did not happen overnight or come easily, I really feel that now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career.” We here at PlayStation LifeStyle wish Haden the best of look pertaining to his future endeavors. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is still going to be released on October 26th and a developer at LucasArts says that this will in no shape or form impact the games final months of development.

Having already detailed and priced the PlayStation Move controllers here in the US and in Japan, UK gamers were left in the cold in not knowing how much they need to save this September so that they can get their ‘Move on’. We have the details you need plus the contents of the UK PlayStation Move demo disc revealed, inside. Yeah, you know what to do. For those of you who already own the PlayStation Eye (which is quite a bit of you, thanks to EyePet), the stand alone PlayStation Move controller will cost you £34.99 ($54.00 USD). For those looking for the ultimate edge when using the PS Move, the Navigation controller is priced at £24.99 ($38.00 USD), and the UK’s version of the PS Move starter back comes with (1) PS Move Controller, the PS Eye, and a Starter demo disc for £49.99 ($77.00 USD). No details were revealed about 1st-party software pricing ($39.99 here in the states…DEAL!), however, Sony’s GamesCom press conference is going down on August 19, which will be less than a month before the PlayStation Move hits, expect an explosion of EU Move information to be unleashed. Insomniac Games is well-known around the world for the PlayStation heritage that the company stems from. Although the developers at Insomniac recently announced that they’re breaking ties off of PlayStation exclusivity, their contributions with Spyro, Ratchet & Clank and more have had a huge impact on the platform to say the least. Thankfully, judging by the latest comments, Insomniac employees look ready to reveal the next addition to their remarkable game record. Insomniac Games currently has a multiplatform title in development which is on the verge of being announced. When asked about whether or not the team from Insomniac will be at PAX , Insomniac replied via Twitter stating: yes – we have very exciting plans for PAX we are going to announce soon! Later, Insomniac posted the following in regards to the unannounced title: Sounds like the other IG (Irrational Games) is revealing their next game in August 11th… Makes us want to get in on the fun! It’s all but confirmed now that not only will Insomniac Games be at PAX 2010 but the unannounced title will be revealed in the time leading up to the convention at the beginning of September. Insomniac has a great track record of memorable titles , so this is a great opportunity for the team to add yet another exciting title to the 2011 calendar year. Maybe it’s a multiplatform Resistance 3 title? Or perhaps even a new IP? Whatever the case, we should know within the next month, and hopefully the announcement will be made with an awesome trailer to drool over. What do you want to see Insomniac Games announce? Up until last year when Batman: Arkham Asylum surprised that gaming world with its awesomeness, comic book licensed games, for the most part, flat out sucked. Don’t believe me? Go and play either Iron Man 1 or 2, then come back and tell me what you think. Arkham Asylum is one of the few games that got it right. Developers Beenox and Publisher Activision look to continue this trend this Fall with Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions on the PS3. Featuring four different Spider-Man realities, fans of the ole’ web-slinger will be able to fulfill their Spider-fantasies until the year 2099 rolls around (Yep! Spider-Man 2099 is in it!!). Activision announced the voice talent for the game and fans of the past animated shows will be most pleased and just wait until you who the narrator is! One hint: EXCELSIOR!! I’ll go ahead and get the biggest surprise out of the way: Stan ‘Hey, I created almost all of the best characters at Marvel’ Lee will be narrating the games storyline! How sweet is that!?! Then, Mr. Doogie Howser himself, Neil Patrick Harris, will lead the way voicing ‘616′ Amazing Spider-Man, Josh Keaton will be Ultimate Spider-Man, Christopher Daniel Barnes will be Noir Spidey, and Dan Gilvezan will play Spider-Man 2099. The best part? Everyone of the actors voicing Spider-man did so during one of the several Spider-Man shows over the years. Will this please fans of the those series? Yes! Will it improve the overall quality of the title? That remains to be seen. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions swings into stores this September 7th. Will all of our Spidey fans here at PlayStation LifeStyle be giving this game a chance or are you going to leave poor Spidey hanging?

Heavenly Sword happens to be one of the most underrated PlayStation 3 exclusives to grace the console since it was unleashed in 2006. The game features some of the most beautiful graphics on our favorite system of choice and uses the SIXAXIS motion in a variety of ways, which very few other games do still until this day. Only one problem, despite selling over a million and a half copies, developers Ninja Theory didn’t make a dime off the game. With Sony owning the rights to the franchise, NT moved on to create the Enslaved series which ‘begins’ this October 5th with Enslaved: Enslaved: Odyssey to the west. Another problem seems to be looming: Ninja Theory doesn’t believe the game is going to be successful, so the series could very well be over before it begins. That is unless gamers respond with their wallets this fall. Ninja Theory Big Boss Tameem Antoniades stopped by the offices of CVG for a quick chat about his companies latest (And artistically beautiful!) gaming venture, Enslaved. When asked about any potential sequels, Tameem was a bit pessimistic. So we’re now in the mindset that there’s not going to be a sequel for this unless it’s miraculously successful. Well not miraculously, but we don’t assume it’s going to be successful. Unfortunately, Tameem is probably right. Glance over any Top 25 most wanted list and it’s easy to see that many gamers don’t have Enslaved on their radar, which is sad, seeing as we here at PlayStation LifeStyle had a blast with the game at E3. During a show which was bombarded with Sequels and FPS, Enslaved was a breath of fresh air, which featured beautiful, lush graphics said to rival that of Uncharted 2 and gameplay that features ‘Solid combat with platforming and a solid team mechanic with both characters’. It would be a shame for gamers to overlook this original IP for yet another FPS that you *gasp* kill monsters or terrorist. Why not take a chance of something original and new?
